Qujiang District People's Hospital was founded in 1955, located at No. 213 Fangmen Street, Quzhou City, is a nationally owned hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research and health care, and is the designated medical institution for Quzhou City, Kecheng District, and Qujiang District's medical insurance, industrial injury and maternity insurance, as well as agricultural insurance of Qujiang and Kecheng Districts, and is also the designated hospital for Quzhou City's Traffic Police and high-speed traffic accident rescue.
The old hospital area has 14 wards with 345 beds, such as Internal 1, Internal 2, Internal 3, Surgery, Orthopedics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, ICU, and Hemodialysis, with a complete range of outpatient departments. There are more than 520 active employees, including nearly 200 people with middle and senior titles. It mainly undertakes to provide services for the diagnosis and treatment of more than 80% of common and multiple diseases for 400,000 people in Qujiang District and some residents of downtown Quzhou City. It also provides services for 21 health centers and community service stations under Qujiang District, consultation and referral of critically ill patients and difficult patients as well as business guidance of health centers, medical quality management and training of health and technical personnel, and also serves as the rescue center of Qujiang District and the quality control center of various professions, and is the leader of the three-tier health care service network of Qujiang District.
The hospital is well-equipped with VISX-4 excimer laser, whole-body spiral CT machine, digital imaging system (CR), digital gastrointestinal machine, dynamic electrocardiogram, 840 respirator, blood gas analyzer, automatic biochemistry analyzer, lung function meter, color ultrasound, hemodialysis machine, as well as laparoscopy, colposcopy and hysteroscopy of the advanced level of modern medicine, Bronchoscopy, arthroscopy and other high-precision medical transfer to meet clinical needs.
In order to improve the hospital's medical environment, the construction of the hospital's off-site expansion project began in November 2010 and was opened at the end of December 2013. Located at No. 338 Xin'an Avenue in Qujiang District, the hospital covers an area of more than 100 acres and is planned according to the standard of a Grade IIIB general hospital with a total of 700 beds. By then, the hospital's medical environment will be significantly improved.
On August 8, 2010, Qujiang District People's Hospital held a signing ceremony for counterpart collaboration with the Second Hospital Affiliated to Zhejiang University School of Medicine (ZJMS) and unveiled the establishment of the Qujiang Branch of ZJMS. Qujiang District People's Hospital, with a history of nearly 60 years, has become the first branch of ZMC to be set up in the province, enabling the people of Quzhou to enjoy the homogenized services of experts from provincial hospitals in their vicinity, realizing the "Quzhou People's ZMC", effectively reducing the burden on the people, and really doing practical things for the people.
