1. There is a difference in the way of operation:

Because usually the utility power is normal, the inverter is not working, only in the utility power outage battery discharged to start working, so this UPS is called backup UPS.
2. Market price difference:
Price, the two kinds of UPS power supply there is also a big difference. Generally speaking, the same power of the same brand online UPS power supply price is much higher than the price of the backup UPS power supply. But because the backup UPS power supply is not directly connected to the utility and the load, so under normal circumstances the inverter is in the off state, so the backup power supply maintenance costs, etc. are relatively inexpensive.
3. There is a difference in the field of use:
(1) The backup UPS power supply is generally less powerful, more used for temporary power supply, such as home personal power, personal computer hosts, etc. Frequency, voltage and so on, the frequency, voltage stability, the power is not a very high demand for occasions.
