Detailed explanation of the latest epidemic prevention policy and visa policy for entering Vietnam in 2022

We have been waiting patiently in these days when we can't travel. So far, all our tourist services in Vietnam are still suspended. Once the epidemic has completely subsided and the country has resumed its normal entry and exit policies before the epidemic, we will restart relevant services as soon as possible.

In addition, Vietnam has recently become a hot spot for business investment and manufacturing transfer.

Recently, a small partner asked about Vietnam's entry policy. Here, we will introduce the latest entry policy, visa policy and domestic exit policy in detail.

Vietnam's latest entry policy

Since 2022, with the gradual easing of the epidemic situation in Vietnam, Vietnam's entry policy has been continuously adjusted, and relevant restrictions have been gradually removed. According to the latest document issued by the Vietnamese government on May 3, 65438, Vietnam suspended the requirement of nucleic acid testing for entry personnel from May 5, 65438.

Screenshot of the Vietnamese government's May 13 document.

According to the above documents, the latest entry quarantine policy of Vietnam will be adjusted as follows from May 15, 2022:

1. Pre-trip nucleic acid testing is no longer required for entry into Vietnam, and entry nucleic acid testing is no longer required after arrival in Vietnam.

2. It is no longer necessary to declare personal health before entering Vietnam, and it is no longer necessary to check an individual's COVID-19 vaccination certificate after arriving in Vietnam.

3. It is no longer compulsory to purchase COVID-19 medical insurance when entering Vietnam, and it is no longer required to be isolated or concentrated at home after arriving in Vietnam.

China's latest exit policy towards Vietnam.

Although Vietnam has substantially cancelled the relevant restrictive requirements for entry quarantine, it is still necessary to strictly abide by the relevant exit policies of China when going to Vietnam from China. According to the relevant policies of the National Immigration Bureau, the relevant policy of "not leaving the country unless necessary" was implemented during the epidemic. Therefore, traveling to Vietnam at present still does not conform to the relevant exit policy. Only when it is necessary or urgent to leave the country for Vietnam can you travel legally. So what are the necessary or urgent reasons for leaving the country? The National Immigration Bureau also issued a document explaining this in detail:

According to the above policy statement of the State Administration of Immigration, it is necessary or urgent to leave the country to participate in epidemic prevention, key projects, employment, business, scientific research, study abroad, medical treatment, family reunion, etc., before legally leaving the country.

Vietnam's latest visa policy

If you meet all the necessary or urgent reasons for leaving the country (such as going abroad for work, business, studying abroad, family reunion, etc.). ), need to go to Vietnam from China. According to the current entry policy of Vietnam, although the restrictive requirements for entry quarantine have been cancelled, the corresponding types of Vietnamese visas are still required. Here are four most common Vietnamese visas: business visa, work visa, visiting relatives visa and studying abroad visa.
