Overview of characteristics and application fields of GH625;
The alloy is a solid solution strengthened nickel-based deformed superalloy with Mo and Nb as main strengthening elements, which has excellent corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance, good tensile properties and fatigue properties at low temperature to 980℃, and stress corrosion resistance in salt spray environment. Therefore, it can be widely used to manufacture aero-engine parts, aero-structural parts and chemical equipment.

This alloy has the following characteristics:
1. has excellent corrosion resistance to various corrosive media in redox environment.
2. Excellent pitting and crevice corrosion resistance, and no stress corrosion cracking caused by chloride.
3. Excellent corrosion resistance to inorganic acids, such as nitric acid, phosphoric acid, sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid and mixed acid of sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid.
4. Excellent corrosion resistance of various inorganic acid mixed solutions.
5. When the temperature reaches 40℃, it can show good corrosion resistance in various concentrations of hydrochloric acid solutions.
6. Good machinability and weldability, no post-weld cracking sensitivity.
7. Manufacturing certification of pressure vessels with wall temperature of-196 ~ 450℃
8. It has passed the NACE standard (MR-0 1-75) certification of American Institute of Corrosion Engineers, and meets the highest standard of acid gas environment level VII.
Metallographic structure of Inconel 625
625 is a face-centered cubic lattice structure. When the temperature is kept at about 650℃ for a long time, carbon particles and unstable quaternary phase will precipitate and transform into stable Ni3(Nb, Ti) orthorhombic lattice phase. After solid solution strengthening, the molybdenum and niobium components in the Ni-Cr matrix will improve the mechanical properties of the material, but the plasticity will decrease.

Corrosion resistance of Inconel 625
625 alloy shows excellent corrosion resistance in many media. It has excellent resistance to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion, intergranular corrosion and corrosion in chloride medium. It has good corrosion resistance to inorganic acids such as nitric acid, phosphoric acid, sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid. And also has corrosion resistance to alkali and organic acids in oxidizing and reducing environments. Effectively resist chloride and reduce stress corrosion cracking. It hardly produces corrosion in seawater and industrial gas environment, and has high corrosion resistance to seawater and salt solution, even at high temperature. There is no sensitivity when welding. Resistant to carbonization, oxidation and chlorine-containing gas corrosion in static or circulating environment.

After softening and annealing, low carbon 625 alloy is widely used in chemical processing industry. Its good corrosion resistance and high strength make it a thinner structural component. Alloy 625 can be used in situations where it contacts seawater and bears high mechanical stress. Typical application fields:
1. A component of an organic chemical process containing chloride, especially when an acidic chloride catalyst is used.
2. Boilers and bleaching tanks for pulp and paper industry.
3. Absorber, reheater, flue gas inlet baffle, fan (wet type), agitator, deflector and flue in flue gas desulfurization system.
4. Equipment and components used in manufacturing acid gas environment.
