Zhongshan Dongfeng Hospital, founded in 1961, is a multi-functional public hospital integrating medical treatment, prevention, health care, rehabilitation and teaching in the northern part of Zhongshan City. The hospital has been rated as "Grade A Hospital", "Baby Friendly Hospital", "Civilized Advanced Unit" by the province and the city for many years in a row, "100 Civilized Hospital" by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Health, "Excellent Community Health Service Institution of Guangdong Province" and "Excellent Community Health Service Institution of Guangdong Province". It has been awarded as one of the hundred civilized health centers, "Excellent Community Health Service Institution of Guangdong Province" and "Model Unit of Community Health Service of Guangdong Province" by the Department of Health of Guangdong Province. And in June 2011 through the Zhongshan Municipal Health Bureau hospital level assessment, was named "second class A hospital", and has been publicized.
The hospital now has 230 beds, with an annual outpatient and emergency care volume of 1 million, and more than 10,000 discharged patients annually. The hospital has more than 400 employees, including nearly 30 senior titles and more than 80 intermediate titles.
The hospital has a complete set of departments. The inpatient ward has internal medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, orthopedic surgery, general surgery, hand surgery, ophthalmology and anesthesiology. The hospital has Tong'an (Tong'an Branch), Hengli (Hengli Branch), Xiaolei (Xiaolei Outpatient Clinic), Dongkou, Suicheng, Bogong, Anle, Jichang, Minle, Hetai, Heping, Xiku, Yongyi 13 community health service stations and Xinghua Outpatient Clinic (the third outpatient clinic)
