Currently Zhengzhou City has been built and put into use two sewage treatment plants, respectively, Wang Xinzhuang sewage treatment plant and five Longkou sewage treatment plant, their daily sewage treatment capacity of 300,000 tons and 100,000 tons.
Within Zhengzhou, there are currently 135 wastewater treatment plants in Henan Province, according to 2008 data
