Do remote ultrasound consultation system, cost-effective, good reputation, after-sales manufacturers, big brothers have recommendations?
At present, there have been reports of remote ultrasound applications in cardiology, obstetrics, emergency medicine and other departments, and successfully completed remote cardiac ultrasound and fetal remote ultrasound examination and diagnosis. (1) Application of remote ultrasound in obstetrics: Ultrasound is the tool of choice for confirming intrauterine and aggressive pregnancies, as well as an important examination for monitoring fetal growth and evaluating pregnancy complications. Due to the lack of specialized ultrasound experts in remote areas, the condition of the fetus and the mother cannot be monitored for a long time, and it is often not until the delivery is imminent that the pregnancy is found to be a dangerous pregnancy or the child develops ischemic-hypoxic encephalopathy, which may endanger the life of the pregnant woman and the fetus in serious cases, so it is particularly important to identify and intervene in a timely manner. Such remote ultrasound links based on remote and tertiary prenatal ultrasound have been established in Australia to perform remote ultrasound examinations of fetuses in rural areas, and in the cases that have been examined, the anomalous fetuses have been detected. With the reduction of equipment costs and the popularization of the Internet, the clinical application of remote ultrasound for obstetrics will be of higher value. In China, remote ultrasound and fetal heart rate monitoring have also been used for prenatal assessment of fetal hypoxia, and it was found that the detection rate of the two examinations is higher than that of a single examination, which is conducive to the timely treatment of intrauterine hypoxia and improves the safety of mothers and infants, and has a better clinical promotion value. (2) The application of remote ultrasound in cardiovascular diseases: ultrasound has a wide range of clinical applications, with echocardiography being the most commonly used in the diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases, and is often combined with clinical laboratory tests, electrocardiograms and X-ray examinations. In Aragonda, India, the use of remote echocardiography for the diagnosis of pediatric cardiovascular disease showed that 29% of children were referred for cardiac surgery as a result. In Bangladesh, the use of ultrasound to assess structural heart disease and the collection of these images, which are then interpreted in consultation by a global association of cardiologists, not only reduces referral time for valvular interventions, but also reduces the likelihood of patient hospitalization and death. Two primary care hospitals in the United States established a telemedicine link with a tertiary care center, where a pediatric cardiologist interpreted neonatal tele-echocardiograms and accurately differentiated between neonates needing immediate medical attention and those with less severe heart disease, thus providing timely diagnosis and care for critically ill children. All of these studies demonstrate the diagnostic accuracy of tele-echocardiography, which can have a transformative impact on healthcare systems in developing countries. (3) Application of remote ultrasound in the emergency department: Emergency department illnesses are characterized by urgency and criticality, and transport and treatment need to be minimized to avoid delays. The study found that emergency department experts remotely guided medical staff to conduct ultrasound examination, the time required to complete the examination is less than 10 min, the diagnostic accuracy of 66% to 100%, sensitivity of 82% to 98%. For EMS patients transported for trauma, the initial phase of trauma resuscitation, known as the "golden hour of trauma," an extended trauma ultrasound focused assessment can provide reliable and important information for prehospital evaluation of the patient. Early detection of life-threatening conditions through cardiac monitoring and laboratory indicators is difficult for inexperienced clinicians, and with the advent of portable ultrasound instruments, they are increasingly being used in all aspects of trauma diagnosis. Portable ultrasound instruments in the emergency room have transformed ultrasound from a confirmatory diagnostic test to an extension of the physical examination. The Trauma Ultrasound Focused Assessment Method may also be used as the exam of choice for trauma patients in the emergency room. (4) Application of remote ultrasound in other aspects: In addition to remote consultation, remote ultrasound can be applied to remote consultation, but also through remote ultrasound video teaching, when instructing primary care physicians to perform ultrasound examination, training primary care physicians how to use ultrasound correctly and make diagnosis. In the intensive care unit through the remote ultrasound real-time monitoring of cardiac function or hemodynamics of critically ill patients; equipped with remote ultrasound medical car can be real-time remote consultation to understand the situation of the transfer or emergency patients, in advance of the development of therapeutic measures, and for the rescue to prepare in advance.
