Bank of China's domestic branches can handle global remittance services, which include the provision of multi-currency telegraphic transfer (T/T) and draft transfer (D/D) services.
The main difference between T/T and D/D is that T/T is faster but charges more than D/D. You can use T/T if your remittance is large or urgent; D/D can be used if your remittance is small, short-term, or you are not in a hurry to use the money; and sometimes, foreign recipients may require specific remittance methods, such as applying for foreign schools and paying various application fees often require the use of money orders.
The process
A wire transfer
The application for a wire transfer needs to be filled out, and must be completed in English. Before doing business, you need to provide accurate information on the following remittance information:
1. currency and amount of remittance;
2. name and address of the payee;
3. account number of the payee in the depositary bank;

4. The name, SWIFT code (SWIFTCODE) or address of the payee's bank.
In order to ensure that the recipient receives the money in a timely manner, please provide accurate remittance information, at the same time, leave your contact information, and save your remittance receipt, so that in the remittance of problems, you can contact you in a timely manner.
Second, the ticket remittance
For the ticket remittance, you need to fill in the application form for the money order in English (remittance to Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan can be filled in Chinese), you need to accurately provide the following information:
1. Remittance of the currency and the amount of money;
2. The name and address of the payee.
After completing the remittance procedure, we will hand over the money order to you, and you can send it by mail or take it out of the country by yourself.
A friendly reminder: when you handle the bill transfer, please ask the bank operator whether the payer of the bill is the payee's local bank. When you remit dollars outside the U.S., the paying bank may be the New York branch of the Bank of China, and the payee can only receive the remittance through the local bank for collection.
Three, query
If the payee does not receive your remittance in time, you can bring your ID card, remittance receipt, charge sheet to the original remittance counter for query procedures, we will be the first time for you to query.
Fourth, the return of remittances
After the remittance procedures, if you change the plan, you can ask for the return of remittances. If the remittance is a telegraphic transfer, you can apply for a refund with your ID card, remittance receipt and charge sheet before entering the recipient's account; if the remittance has entered the recipient's account, you need to obtain the recipient's consent before refunding the remittance. If the remittance is a bill transfer, you can go through the procedure with your ID, the original bill of exchange, the remittance receipt and the charge sheet.
V. Lost Money Order
If the money order is lost, you should bring your ID card and the remittance receipt to the original drawee bank to make a written application for loss. Our bank will handle the procedures of loss and stop payment for you according to your request.
Note: Handling of inquiries, remittance refund, lost drafts are subject to handling and telecommunication fees in accordance with the bank's published service price charges.
VI. Remittance Charges
If you make remittance in foreign currency notes, you will have to pay the corresponding fee for the difference in the price of the notes.

National foreign exchange management policy on remittance to domestic residents
Resident individuals can handle remittance business for foreign exchange payment and investment abroad for private purposes, including:
1. Current foreign exchange expenditures: resident individuals can use remittance for outbound travel, visiting relatives, meeting relatives, going to the Hajj pilgrimage, studying abroad, seeking medical treatment, taking part in international academic activities, and being appointed as teachers. Foreign exchange expenditure: resident individuals' outbound travel to visit relatives, go on Hajj, study abroad, seek medical treatment, participate in international academic activities, be appointed as a teacher, etc.; payment of membership fees of international academic organizations; mail-order of small quantities of medicines and medical equipments from abroad; use of foreign exchange in special circumstances such as illness, death, and disaster of immediate relatives abroad; foreigners who have stayed in China for more than one year and compatriots in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan who bring in from abroad or buy personal use articles in the country, etc. and use of foreign exchange for the sale of RMB proceeds; and other foreign exchange expenditures of the current account.
2. Remittance from the current account for current account expenditures
Self-financed study abroad or primary and secondary school students to study abroad: fill out a written application, with proof of household registration and identity card, a passport with a valid entry visa to the country and region of travel, or to Hong Kong and Macao or travel permits to and from Hong Kong and Macao, the official acceptance letter of the school in the country (in the territory), the original and photocopies of the cost notification form issued by the school in the country (in the territory). The original and a copy of the fee notification form for processing.
Overseas medical treatment: Fill in the written application, apply with the certificate of household registration and ID card, passport with valid entry visa to the country and region, or passport to Hong Kong and Macao or travel pass to and from Hong Kong and Macao, certificate of the local regional (city) hospital with doctor's opinion, the acceptance certificate of the overseas hospital and the original and photocopies of the fee notification.
Payment of membership fees for international academic organizations: fill out a written application, present your household registration certificate and ID card, and the original and photocopy of the supporting documents of the international academic organization.
Special remittances for small quantities of medicines and medical instruments ordered by mail from abroad: fill in the written application, present the certificate of household registration and ID card, and the certificate of the regional (municipal) hospital in the place with the original and copy of the doctor's prescription.
Overseas immediate family members in the event of serious illness, death, accidents, disasters and other special circumstances of the use of foreign exchange: fill out a written application, with my household registration certificate and ID card, the validity of the overseas notary institutions, or our embassies and consulates abroad, or the original and a copy of the certificate for processing.
3. The amount of remittance shall not exceed the standard stated in the relevant supporting documents provided
The remittance of foreign exchange out of domestic individuals for current account expenditure shall be handled in accordance with the following provisions:
Foreign exchange savings account for foreign exchange remittance of foreign exchange out of the country of less than 50,000 U.S. dollars in the cumulative equivalent of the same day (inclusive), with the person's own valid identification documents at the bank; more than the above amount, with the current account with the transaction amount of authentic certificates. items under the transaction amount of the authenticity of the certificate for processing.
