Behind the Scenes: About the Movie

Faster than a bullet, more powerful than a train, and jumping into a skyscraper, Hrithik Roshan flies down from a skyscraper in a black and grey costume and a mask that covers half of his face, marking the entry of the Indian film industry into the world of Indian cinema as the first true "superhero". The emergence of the first real "superhero" in the history of Indian cinema marked the beginning of a new era in Indian cinema.

The $10 million special-effects film broke new ground in Bollywood, where romance and family dramas are all the rage, said producer Kirali Shimakumar, adding, "I have tried a lot of new things in this movie that even Hollywood has not tried. People who have seen the movie say it looks like a Hollywood blockbuster, but I would say it is a Hollywood blockbuster." This fresh "package" combines everything Indian audiences love: fantasy, adventure, romance and family values, and caused a sensation in its first week of release, with an attendance rate of almost 100 percent, and set a new first-weekend box office record for an Indian film with $15 million in ticket sales. Not only was it hard to find tickets in India, "Chris" was also well received overseas, with close to one-third of the $15 million coming from outside India, and Indian immigrants in the U.K. and the U.S. clamoring to see the blockbuster from their homeland.

Patchwork Superman

Like Superman, he's so powerful he can lift entire buildings; like Spider-Man, he can climb walls. Chris's outfit is cool: a post-slasher black leather trenchcoat, a half-covered mask that's both modern and mysterious. In the pursuit of top-notch spectacle and entertainment, this assembled version of Superman combines every possible movie formula and element: not only does it borrow from Hollywood-style sci-fi action blockbusters with postmodern metallic character packaging and scene design, but it also embellishes with Bollywood-style signature songs and dances, and draws on the dynamic and powerful Eastern-style martial arts design as packaging. The film is packaged in a dynamic and powerful Eastern-style martial arts design.

The Indian superhero is an impeccable all-rounder who can do anything he can't: fly, sing, dance and get lucky. Not only can he fly through the skies like Superman, but he can also weave in and out of city skyscrapers like Spider-Man, dwarfing his predecessors.

Bollywood songs and dances

Bollywood's traditional program of songs and dances, of course, can not be abandoned, so in this fairy tale of the hero to save the world can be seen in the Hollywood similar films in the heap of Indian songs and dances. The song and dance at all times is irrational and illogical, highlighting the other side of the Indian superhero that would be unthinkable and hilarious in an American Superman, Batman and Spider-Man.

Father and son team up

Superhero against villains, with the gimmick of a beautiful woman, the plot of "Chris" is weak and pale, but Hriniq Roshan, who plays the Indian Superman and is India's biggest star in recent years, easily covers up the shortcomings of the script with his charming smile, athletic hands and passionate songs and dances, making it the biggest attraction of the movie. Hrithik Roshan's performance in the movie is so eye-catching that he even overshadows Miss World 2000, Parkyanka Chopra. The director of the movie is Rakesh Roshan, Roshan's father. He says fondly, "I chose Hrinik from the bottom of my heart and I am sure he will find an equally permanent place in yours." It's not the first time the successful father-son duo have worked together, as Hrinik became a superstar in India in 2000 after starring in Say You Love Me, which made him a favorite among Indian women with his Rambo-like looks and sparkling dance moves. He had a few flops after that, but his father brought him back to superstar status with "I Found Someone".

Highlights:- The eye-popping stunts in 'Chris' were shot in Singapore.

-To complete the action scenes in the movie, Hrynick Roshan received two months of martial arts training from Cheng Xiaodong in Hong Kong.

-All the action on screen was done by Hrynick Roshan himself, without using a stunt double. Once he fell from the fourth floor and would have been killed if he hadn't been caught by a hotel awning. On another occasion, his hair was scorched as he walked through a fire. This became a major feature that set the movie apart from the Spider-Man and Superman series. Meanwhile, Roshan told fans who follow him that they should never emulate the over-the-top moves he does in the movie. This comes after a fan jumped off the balcony of a movie theater in central India, following Hrithik Roshan's moves in the film, resulting in multiple fractures.

-To get closer to the powerful physique of India's Superman, Hrynak Roshan spent two months building up 15 pounds of muscle, which gives him a powerful look.

- 'Chris' is a big step forward for Indian cinema. The movie's action director is from Hong Kong's Ching Siu Tung, while the visual effects director is from Los Angeles. While a typical Indian "blockbuster" has only about 200 shots computerized, "Chris" has 1,200 shots computerized, with even the smallest details rendered to blur the line between the real and the virtual.
