After N85 came out, it caught up with N96 because of its extraordinary performance, and had many followers. However, the problem that the panel under the navigation key is broken has changed from individual to universal. It's only ten days since I started with N85, and I found a longitudinal crack in the panel below the navigation key:
The same problem also appeared on N85 forums of friends, Saipan and many other mobile websites. The following two pictures are from Saipan website:
The above problems not only occur on parallel mobile phones, but also on licensed ones. The following two experiences come from Saipan:
(1) Experience Nokia Customer Service's response to N85 key break! By seakinglee
I asked my friend Hong Kong to bring the machine back and get it on June 4th. 165438+. At that time, I saw that the keyboard of the machine was broken everywhere on the forum. Although I am worried, I still think it is a case. On June 6th 165438+65438, my N85 machine broke down and I couldn't call Nokia 400880 123. Say that I belong to a case and let me go to the local customer service center to solve it. At this time, I am relieved that Nokia's big brands will be responsible for the products to the end. I asked Nokia to send a customer service address. So Nokia sent the address of the customer service center to No.266, Fengqi Road, Hangzhou.
I arrived there on165438+1October 19, and the staff on the first floor asked me to go to the VIP customer reception desk on the second floor. The service staff actually told me that it was ok to change the keyboard, and I was secretly pleased. I didn't expect him to accept 140 yuan, which made me angry to death. It's useless for half a month. The keyboard is broken and there are obvious design defects. What is the quality problem? I reason with them. Later, the service staff called out an engineer-like person from the inside, looked at the machine for a long time and asked me if I had an invoice. I said yes, go downstairs and take the invoice to them from the car. Moreover, the customer service staff verified the serial number online and whispered that it was within the warranty scope. The maintenance engineer said to leave the information and we will contact the head office. I asked when to reply, and guess what they said? It will take two weeks to get the result. I really don't know how Nokia's customer service serves its customers, or whether a big international company is secretive about its quality problems and still doesn't deal with them in time. When I came out of the customer service center, I was full of disappointment. I have used Nokia for 8 years, how did it become like this today! I have no choice. After you come back, continue to call the customer service number 4008800 123, hoping that this service process can be faster. As a result, Sister Xiao *, the customer service at 4008800 123 actually said that the phone is a phone, and the customer service center is a customer service center, which can't handle these things. The theory has already been said. You can give me an answer within 24 hours.
So far, the results have not come out. I hope all my friends can help me post this post for Nokia people!

(2) Do you think Nokia is responsible for the fracture of N85?
Yesterday afternoon, I started with N85 and wanted to put a good film on Nokia's customer service. At this time, I saw a buddy in armed police uniform waiting in the repair shop, right in front of me, just wait.
Two minutes later, I saw a repairman return the mobile phone to the armed police. When I saw it, it turned out to be the same, N85. I just casually asked ... what happened to your mobile phone ... He replied: it's broken ... I collapsed, and I only saw some photos of my mobile phone on the forum. I didn't expect it to show me the real thing, so I went up to have a look. Yes, I navigate below. I want to take a photo, but the machine has run out of virtual electricity and hasn't been washed yet. But please believe me, there really is this problem. Now I believe those pictures in the jar are not PS's! !
I tried to ask what kind of goods it was, and answered, "It was taken by China Bank for 3900 yuan", and it crashed again. I asked him how to use this machine ... "Forget it, I basically didn't touch it for the first two days, and then I just called and sent text messages every day for the next five days. Other functions were only tried once, which was basically useless because there was no time at all. I found it broken. " ............................, I chatted with him for a while, and then we asked the customer service (although I had a hunch, I still wanted to ask). Sure enough, the answer was very standard: the appearance problem is not covered by the warranty. If the cover needs to be replaced, 180 yuan. Hmm.
Later, he wanted to change, so I advised him not to change. There are many problems. The customer service is still stubborn: I sold four cups, and there is nothing wrong with it ... I smiled. I said your store sold two ... (I know the owner of this place because this is the second one. I originally wanted to buy parallel imports, but I wanted to buy them in 2008, but because
Personally, I think Nokia can take some measures if this kind of problem may be common in the future. If you spend money to change it now, once Nokia comes down to quality in the future (there seem to be many such problems now, I really hope Nokia can come down to quality design in the future).
Didn't he lose money? Later, he agreed. When we left, this buddy left a message: "I wanted to buy licensed products to become stronger, but now I regret it and leave." ... I'm speechless ... maybe I still have some confidence in 85. Although some functions are lost, the performance of this mobile phone is really good, and the work in other places is also good. It really depends on the authenticity of Nokia's "people-oriented" concept ... "People-oriented or RMB-oriented, this is a question ..."
As can be seen from the above, the fracture of N85 navigation key panel is not a case, but a common phenomenon. Is it just the quality of noodles? Then why does it break only under the navigation key, but not in other parts? With doubts, I began to disassemble the panel.
1. Remove the four screws on the back of the slide cover:
2. Remove the front cover: from the rounded corner at the lower part of the slide cover, insert the nails between the slide cover base plate and the front cover, and take off the front cover once. Pay attention to the position of the four clamping forks on the front cover and bottom plate, which requires a little force:
Corresponding to the four metal snap rings around the screen:
3. Remove the sliding button panel:
Injured key panel:
4. Disassembly is completed:
5, fracture reason analysis, first look at the schematic diagram:
As can be seen from the above picture, the cause of panel fracture is obvious. There are both reasons for the panel material itself and design problems:
In order to control the direction of the cable under the button, a U-shaped opening is designed on the button base under the panel. The material of the panel itself is very thin, soft and elastic, which is deformed when the key is pressed, and the sliding cover is pushed up, and the cable protrudes from the surface of the substrate to prevent the key panel from falling down. However, the opening area under the flat cable is wide, which makes the stress concentrate here. After the number of repetitions increased, the stress exceeded the limit stress of the key panel, and finally it was overwhelmed and cracked.
Some people want to ask, why didn't the N96 have a similar problem? See the baseboard design under the N96 keyboard:
The layout of the base plate is reasonable. There is no U-shaped opening as wide as N85 under the navigation key, and the stress area is in the same plane, so that the stress will not be concentrated in one place after the key panel is pressed.
Finally, we should be concerned about how to solve the fracture problem of N85 key panel. My suggestion is:
1, Nuoji took out the ultimate stress data of key panels, and improved the allowable stress value of panels by improving the quality of panels. Otherwise, even if the key panel is replaced, it will still break;
2. Improve the design of the substrate below the keys, and partially close the U-shaped opening below the substrate to reduce stress concentration on the premise of ensuring the smooth routing of navigation key cables.
PS: The key-broken panel of Nokia N85 mobile phone is a product defect, which violates the Product Quality Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) and the Consumer Protection Law. I hope Nokia can solve the problems of poor quality of key panel and design defects of key substrate as soon as possible, and be kind to users of "problem mobile phones". At the same time, it calls on relevant departments to ask Nokia to recall the sold N85 "problem phones" and stop selling "problem phones" through administrative means.
