The Vibration and Noise Laboratory was established in 1988. The laboratory takes ship structures, mechanical equipment and power plants as its main objects and carries out vibration and noise testing, analysis and control research.

All members of the Vibration and Noise Laboratory have doctoral degrees. There are currently 2 professors, 1 associate professor, and 6 intermediate professional titles. They have a solid theoretical foundation and experimental research capabilities. The laboratory has successively undertaken projects from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Science and Technology Commission of the Central Military Commission, the Equipment Development Department of the Central Military Commission, the Bureau of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, the National Defense Pre-Research Fund, the Natural Science Foundation of Jiangsu Province, and the National Defense Key Projects It has more than 120 projects including laboratory open funds, national defense and enterprise horizontal projects; it has more than 5 million yuan in research funding; it has won 13 provincial and ministerial scientific and technological progress awards, including 1 ministerial first prize, 3 second prizes, and third prizes. He has won 8 national defense awards and 1 provincial second-class national defense award, making important contributions to the development of national defense construction and the shipbuilding industry. Responsible for teaching 8 postgraduate courses and 8 undergraduate courses in vibration and noise control, and has trained more than 50 master's students in Jiangsu Province's key disciplines such as "Marine Engineering"; jointly established "Jiangsu Province" with Vulcan Technology Co., Ltd. The vibration and noise laboratory has advanced testing and research methods, with instruments and equipment assets of more than RMB 7.5 million, and a laboratory area of ??780m2. In 2009, it received a funding of RMB 3 million from the Ministry of Finance and the Jiangsu Provincial Government Construction Project, with a newly introduced value of RMB 2.1 million. Yuan's Danish B&K vibration and noise testing and analysis system includes Suzhou Dongling vibration table, semi-anechoic chamber, reverberation chamber, LMS vibration and noise transmission path analysis system, LMS acoustic camera, ship simulation cabin and floating raft vibration isolation device , French MVP-200 vibration monitoring and fault diagnosis system, Japanese Ono CF-5220 dynamic signal analyzer, Bamp; K TSC002 torsional vibration test analyzer, Bamp; K and MB shaker, telemetry shaft power meter system, American NI vibration Testing and monitoring development systems, several vibration displacement, velocity, and acceleration sensors; it has test platforms such as a torpedo model vibration test device, a ship model vibration test device, a typical submarine base model vibration test device, and a shafting vibration and fault diagnosis test bench. Equipped with 5 computing servers of brands such as Dell, Gentai, Hepson, etc., and many finite element/boundary element/statistical energy methods/ Numerical calculation and analysis software, as well as ship shafting torsional vibration (DNV)/whirlpool vibration/shafting calibration calculation software.
