Ya'an Polytechnic College (Ya'anPolytechnicCollege), referred to as Ya'an, is located in Ya'an City, Sichuan Province, is approved by the People's Government of Sichuan Province, the Ministry of Education for the record was established by the public full-time ordinary institutions of higher learning. The predecessor of the school was the West Kang Province Health Technology School founded in March 1951, and was renamed as Sichuan Ya'an Health School in 1962. 2000, the predecessor of the college, Ya'an College of Education, successively merged with Ya'an Finance and Trade School, Ya'an Agricultural Mechanization School, and Ya'an Industrial Bureau Technical School to form the new Ya'an College of Education, and in April 2002, the Ya'an College of Education and Ya'an Health School merged to form Ya'an Vocational and Technical College. Health School merged to form the Ya'an Institute of Vocational Technology.
