History
Liuzhou Railway College
In April 1955, Liuzhou Railway Transportation School was established.
On May 4, 1956, Liuzhou Railway Transportation School was founded.
In June 1958, Liuzhou Railway Transportation School was restructured into Guangxi Railway College.
In 1960, Guangxi Railway Specialized School was upgraded to Liuzhou Railway College.
Liuzhou Railway Transportation School
In 1962, it was changed back to Liuzhou Railway Transportation School from Liuzhou Railway Institute.
In 1969, Liuzhou Railway Transportation School was abolished and Liuzhou Railway Bureau Technical School was established, which was later changed to Liuzhou Railway Secondary Specialized School.
In 1974, Liuzhou Railway Secondary Specialized School was abolished and Liuzhou Railway Transportation School was restored.
In 1992, the school passed the qualified assessment of school conditions commissioned by the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region to the Liuzhou Railway Bureau.
In 1993, it passed the assessment of school running level of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
In January 1994, it was awarded the honor of being a provincial (ministerial) key general secondary school in Guangxi Autonomous Region.
In September 1994, it was honored as a national key general secondary school.
In May 1997, Guangxi University of Electricity Liuzhou Railway Bureau Branch, Liuzhou Railway Bureau Teachers Further Training School and Liuzhou Railway Transportation School merged, the implementation of a set of people and three signs of the management mechanism.

Liuzhou Transportation Vocational and Technical College
August 2003, approved by the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Liuzhou Transportation Vocational and Technical College was formed on the basis of Liuzhou Railway Transportation School.
In October 2004, the college's affiliation was transferred from Liuzhou Railway Bureau to Liuzhou Municipal People's Government.
In April 2005, the college was recorded in the Ministry of Education, and the inauguration ceremony of Liuzhou Transportation Vocational and Technical College was held on May 19 of the same year.
In October 2007, Liuzhou Engineering Vocational and Technical School was merged into Liuzhou Transportation Vocational and Technical College.
Liuzhou Railway Vocational and Technical College
On March 26, 2009, the People's Government of the Autonomous Region agreed that Liuzhou Transportation Vocational and Technical College was formally renamed as Liuzhou Railway Vocational and Technical College (Gui Zheng Huan [2009] No. 70); the unveiling ceremony of Liuzhou Railway Vocational and Technical College was held on May 19, the same year.
On October, the school was established as one of the second batch of autonomous region's model higher vocational institutions and key cultivation units. In October, the school was established as the second batch of autonomous region model higher vocational colleges and key cultivation units.
In 2010, the school was officially recognized as a model higher vocational college in the autonomous region.
In June 2013, the school was identified as a university under the construction project of Guangxi Characteristic Colleges and Universities.
In June 2014, the regional education approved the school to jointly cultivate high-end applied undergraduate talents with Guangxi University for Nationalities, becoming one of the first five higher vocational colleges and universities in Guangxi to pilot the reform of joint cultivation of high-end applied talents.
On November 13, 2017, it cooperated with Royal Northeastern Polytechnic University of Thailand to hold "Thailand-China Railway Transportation College".
