Quality Improvement (QI) is a process of continuous quality improvement that continually monitors the structure, procedures, and effectiveness of care to look for opportunities to improve and prevent problems, in an effort to improve the quality of services that have been satisfactorily delivered.

The QI system is applied to the management of the quality of clinical care to participate in the review and improvement of the quality of care, and to strive to achieve and stabilize the level of care at this standard level, with the goal of maintaining the quality of care at a predetermined level.QI is focused on identifying and resolving specific problems or potential factors that have or are likely to have an impact on the quality of care, and on the basis of resolving the problem, further developing new systems. On the basis of these solutions, new systems are developed to stabilize the quality of care at a new level and to improve it continuously.
