Guangzhou General Hospital of Guangzhou Military Region
The General Hospital of the Southern Theater of Operations of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA), founded in 1933, is a modern large-scale comprehensive hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, prevention, health care, and rehabilitation, and is the first batch of Grade 3A hospitals of the whole country and the whole army, located in Liuhua Road, Yuexiu District, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province.
In November 2018, the former Guangzhou General Hospital of Guangzhou Military Region changed its name to the General Hospital of the Southern Theater of Operations of the People's Liberation Army.In November 2018, the former Guangzhou General Hospital of Guangzhou Military Region issued a public announcement, saying, "The hospital has changed its name to the General Hospital of the Southern Theater of Operations of the People's Liberation Army (former Guangzhou General Hospital of Guangzhou Military Region) since November 2018. This means that the PLA Southern Theater General Hospital has been formally organized.
