Introduction of the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences (Inquiry Tel: 0553-2871267)
The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences now has two undergraduate majors in Social Work and Administrative Management; and three master's degree programs in Marxist Theory, Ideological and Political Education, and Industrial Economics. It has eight teaching and research laboratories, including social work, administrative management, Marxist principles, Mao Zedong Thought and Deng Xiaoping Theory, as well as a humanities and social sciences resource room, a social work laboratory and a multimedia classroom. The department is responsible for the teaching of the "two courses" and the elective course of humanistic quality, as well as the psychological counseling and mental health education of the university students.
Social Work Program
This program has three major directions: social security, community work, and corporate social work. It cultivates senior specialists with basic theories and knowledge of social work, social research skills and social work ability. They can work in the civil affairs, labor, social security departments and social organizations such as workers, youth, women and communities, enterprises, schools engaged in social work and management of the composite application of senior talents.
In addition to the basic courses of public ****, the main courses are: Introduction to Sociology, Introduction to Social Work, Casework Social Work, Group Social Work, Community Social Work, Social Work Administration, Social Security, Social Insurance and Welfare, Social Psychology, Social Survey Methods, Social Statistics and so on.
Administration Management Program
This program has three specialized directions: business administration, foreign-related secretarial work, and e-government. It cultivates compound senior specialists who master modern management theories, techniques and methods, have a certain knowledge base of social and natural sciences, and have the skills of administrative theory research, public **** policy analysis, social investigation and statistics.
In addition to the basic courses of public ****, students are offered the main courses: administrative management, human resources development and management, national civil service, e-government and office automation, Chinese governmental system, business administration, public **** policy, introduction to information management, management psychology, and secretarial services related to foreign affairs.

The Department of Foreign Languages is responsible for the teaching of the undergraduate English major and the public **** English of the whole college. It has 3 teaching and research rooms, 3 foreign teachers, 13 modernized voice studios, including 4 multimedia voice learning systems and a large number of foreign language newspapers and magazines, books, audio-visual materials.
English Major (Arts and Science)
This major is mainly to cultivate students who have a solid foundation in English language and proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, writing and translating, good expression ability and basic scientific research ability, a good command of a second foreign language, strong computer skills, and who are capable of engaging in the fields of foreign affairs, economic and trade, culture, journalism, education, tourism, foreign hotels, enterprise management and information and intelligence departments. They can be engaged in foreign affairs, economic and trade, culture, news, education, tourism, foreign-related hotels, enterprise management and information intelligence department of the translation of the work of the composite senior applied talents.
