First of all, where do AEDs usually stay?
3500 AEDs (Heart automated external defibrillator) have been installed in Shenzhen. Where are these aeds? In general, AEDs are placed in public places, such as large shopping malls, airports and places where college personnel are relatively dense. When you go out, you can find the location by looking at the English letters AED, and these English letters are basically red or green, which is very eye-catching and easy to find.
Second, how do we use AED?
We put the AED on the left (heart position) of the emergency personnel, and then directly click the power switch to turn on the AED. It will have a voice prompt. Let's take it slowly according to the voice prompt. AED has two electrode pads. One electrode is placed on the right chest, about the clavicle, and the other electrode is placed near the left chest. Then, insert the electrode plate into the AED host. At this point, the AED will start to test the heartbeat and heart rate, which will give us a new hint after about 15 seconds. If the test results suggest that we use the AED defibrillation function, we can click the power button to start defibrillation.
Third, what should we pay attention to when using AED.
When using AED, you must follow the voice prompts, and at the same time, you must distinguish between the left and right and the approximate position of the heart. AED has two electrode pads, so it is very important to find the reasonable placement of the electrode pads, which is very important for the accuracy of heart rate test.
Many people in automated external defibrillator are very unfamiliar with AED heart, so I suggest that you attend training, which will play a very good role in the use and rescue.
