Professional or not professional can go to check, check there engaged in optometry work is not ophthalmology graduates, if it is ophthalmology graduates, then it is the professional counterparts, it can be said that the professional, if it is not ophthalmology, then it is not possible to be very professional.
But at present, as far as my personal investigation is concerned, most of the general practitioners engaged in optometry are not professional, and are usually general ophthalmologists interprofessionally engaged in optometry. There are even a lot of nurses practicing optometry, which is a national problem in China. Not any city is like this.
