The Orthopedic Department of Huangpu People's Hospital is the largest in the northern part of Zhongshan, and it is responsible for the main treatment of orthopedics in traffic accidents, work-related injuries, and residents' diseases in the northern part of Zhongshan. The Orthopedics Department focuses on the combination of theory and clinic, teaching and scientific research, and has a strong capability in first aid, diagnosis and treatment, functional rehabilitation, teaching and scientific research. The department gives full play to the strengths of closed reset of Chinese medicine, small splint fixation, combination of motion and static, internal and external medication, which has the advantages of safety and simplicity, less comorbidities, and good functional recovery, and the therapeutic effect reaches the advanced level in China. More than ten series of internal and external orthopedic and traumatology preparations with remarkable therapeutic effect have been developed and widely used in clinics.
The department actively introduces the latest diagnostic and treatment technology from home and abroad, and carries out high-precision examination, surgery and treatment programs, such as internal and external fixation of bone fracture, orthopedic lengthening technology of limbs, orthopedics of the spine, replacement of artificial joints (knees, hips, shoulders), and repair of large bone and soft tissue defects, etc. In particular, the department applies the minimally invasive percutaneous internal fixation of nail plate to treat bone fracture with a small incision (MIPPO), the intramedullary nailing of closed reduction with a small incision, and the minimally invasive treatment of fracture with a small incision (MIPPO). Burns and wounds dermatology mainly includes burns and wounds, plastic cosmetology and dermatology and venereology specialty group. It was founded in the early 90's.
