On October 27, 2017 the 200-degree Ultra Wide Angle Atlas Book Launch and Ophthalmology Diagnostic and Treatment Process and Eye Health Management Forum, organized by Aier Ophthalmology and High Vision Medical***, was held at Hyatt Regency Songshan Lake in Dongguan. Eyes are a gift given by life, we perceive the world through our eyes. Eye health is what we seek, but unknown risks can jeopardize our vision at any time. This makes it all the more important to protect eye health through routine eye exams, so that if changes occur, they can be intervened and treated in a timely manner. The most important imaging structure that allows light to enter the eye and form the image we want to see is the retina, which is often referred to as the "fundus" by doctors. Since the retina is located at the back of the eye, the examination process is often complicated and time-consuming. Conventional means of examination, such as ophthalmoscopy and traditional color photography, are limited in their imaging range, and doctors need to spend a long time to complete a comprehensive fundus examination with poor comfort. With OBU's Ultra Wide Angle Imaging Technology, no dilation is required throughout the examination, no pain is felt, and a 200° image of the fundus can be obtained with a single tap. With over 60 million exams completed to date, it is one of the most advanced fundus exams available today.
The Aier Group pioneered the hierarchical diagnosis and treatment model to bring advanced medical services to the doorsteps of the people, and so far, Aier has set up 200 or even more hospitals around the world. Aiming to "let all people, rich or poor, enjoy the right to eye health", Aier Group uses more advanced and more convenient technology to serve the majority of patients. Prof. Tang Shibo, President of Aier Eye Institute of Central South University, said that the Group has invested heavily in the introduction of Oberwolf Ultra Wide Angle Fundus Imaging Technology, which not only provides doctors with comprehensive fundus imaging information, but also provides patients with timely fundus screening, which is one of the most advanced and convenient means of fundus examination.
