The number of Internet addresses in China is steadily increasing
According to the data of CNNIC, as of June 2021, the number of IPv6 addresses in China was 62,023 blocks/32, representing an increase of 7.6% compared with that of December 2020.Among the 23 globally recognizable public *** recursion in the scope of monitoring by CNNIC Among the server vendors, 12 of them provide IPv6 public **** recursion services.
The number of global IPv4 addresses was allocated in February 2011, thus the total number of China's IPv4 addresses has basically remained unchanged since 2011, and as of June 2021, the number of China's IPv4 addresses was 393.19 million.
China's Internet penetration rate has exceeded 70%
Data from CNNIC's Statistical Report on the Development of the Internet in China over the years shows that the number of Internet users and Internet penetration rate in China have been steadily increasing from 2011 to 2020. As of June 2021, the number of Internet users in China reached 1.011 billion, and the Internet penetration rate reached 71.6%. The current growth of Internet users has entered a relatively stable stage, and the Internet penetration rate among easy-to-convert people and residents of developed regions has reached a high level.
Net increase of more than 40 million Internet access users
According to the Economic Operation of the Communications Industry in the First Three Quarters of 2021 released by China's Ministry of Commerce, as of the end of September 2021, the total number of fixed Internet broadband access users of China's three basic telecommunication enterprises amounted to 526 million, representing a net increase of 42.74 million households. Among them, the fixed Internet broadband access users with access rate of 100Mbps and above amounted to 485 million, accounting for 92.1% of the total number of users, which accounted for an increase of 2.2 percentage points compared with the end of the previous year; the fixed Internet broadband access users with access rate of 1,000Mbps and above amounted to 21.34 million, with a net increase of 14.94 million compared with the end of the previous year.
China's Internet users exceeded 1 billion in the first half of 2021
In 2015-2021, the scale of China's cell phone Internet users rose year by year. As of June 2021 China's cell phone Internet users reached 1.007 billion, with 21.75 million new Internet users compared with December 2020, and the Internet penetration rate reached 71.6%, 1.2 percentage points higher than in December 2020. China has completed the full penetration of mobile Internet.
The user scale of online takeout will grow the fastest in 2021
China's Internet users during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period will open a new chapter in the development of the digital economy, and the huge scale of Internet users will provide a strong endogenous impetus for promoting the high-quality development of China's economy, accelerating China's Digital new infrastructure construction, open up the domestic cycle, and promote the level of digital government services. Digital consumption effectively stabilizes the impact of the epidemic and promotes the sustained and stable growth of the national economy. Digital services represented by e-commerce are sinking to fourth- and fifth-tier cities and villages, bringing two-way consumption exchanges and interactions between urban and rural areas, and bringing a new engine of economic growth while enhancing the digital convenience of the sinking market.
In the first half of 2021, China's personal Internet applications showed continuous and steady growth. Among them, the user scale of online takeout, online medical and online office grew most significantly, with growth rates above 10%. Among the basic applications, the user scale of search engine and online news grew by 3.3% and 2.3% respectively compared with December 2020; among the business transaction applications, the user scale of online travel booking and online shopping grew by 7.0% and 3.8% respectively compared with December 2020; and among the online entertainment applications, the user scale of webcasting and online music both grew by 3% or more.
