In response to U.S. sanctions, Iran is not ambiguous, home appliance industry has exported 250 million dollars of products

Iran's Tehran Times reported on December 21 that Secretary General of the Iranian Household Appliances Industry Association, Hashmi, said that domestically produced household appliance parts meet 70-75% of the country's household appliance industry's needs, and the country saves $220 million by replacing imports. Meanwhile, Iran's home appliance industry has exported $250 million of products in the last two years and has established production lines in some neighboring countries, where Iran exports CKD bulk parts to relevant countries for local assembly and production.

Iran has many advantages in the development of home appliance industry, such as the supply of steel, copper, petrochemicals and other raw materials, inexpensive energy, adequate labor force, and unique location advantages. In response to U.S. sanctions, the Iranian government has made great efforts to develop domestic production in the past two years, and the home appliance industry is one of the key industries to be supported.In the 2019-2020 fiscal year, the production capacity of Iran's home appliance industry has increased by 10 percent year-on-year; and in the first eight months of the 2020-2021 fiscal year, Iran*** produced 2.8 million sets of home appliances, such as refrigerators, freezers, washing machines and televisions.
