Which is better, slit drawing or tubular drawing?
Non-woven fabric slit drafting and tube drafting, slit drafting is good. Slit drafting is to cut the non-woven fabric along the slit and increase its width through drafting. This treatment method can enhance the tensile strength and vertical strength of non-woven fabrics, and at the same time improve their breathability and comfort. Slit stretched nonwovens are more suitable for some applications that need strong toughness and moderate ductility, such as medical, sanitary products and disposable products. Tubular stretching is to shape non-woven fabric into tubular shape, and to change its physical properties by stretching the whole tubular fabric. This treatment can make the nonwoven fabric have excellent stretchability and extensibility in both transverse and longitudinal directions, and its air permeability and comfort are not as good as slit drafting. Therefore, slit drafting of non-woven fabrics is better than cylinder drafting.
