Zhengzhou Institute of Science and Technology was founded in 1988, is approved by the Ministry of Education, the establishment of ordinary undergraduate colleges and universities. It is one of the top 20 private colleges and universities in China and a national model private college and university for student employment recognized by the Ministry of Education.
The predecessor of the school was Zhengzhou Zhongyuan Vocational University, a higher education institution mainly focusing on self-study examination counseling; in 1997, the implementation of higher education diploma examination; has gone through the period of Zhengzhou College of Science and Technology Specialized Training, Zhengzhou College of Science and Technology Vocational College, etc., and was upgraded to undergraduate institutions and renamed Zhengzhou College of Science and Technology in 2008.
