The abundant rainfall made the river water muddy, anxious and restless in this season. Standing on the river's embankment line, at your feet is a swirling whirlpool of tumbling anger, waves splashing, sometimes turning back, sometimes roaring. Along the two sides of the river paved with smooth and smooth stone road, turquoise upright traveler's banana, soft and romantic bromeliad, large and large Fuchsia standing quietly on the stone roadside, more tropical trees: large-leafed banyan, small-leafed banyan, kapok, big green tree stretches out on both sides of the road on both sides of the branches and leaves on both sides of the sky shaking hands to make peace, forming a natural "parasol! The first is the "sunshade".
This five-kilometer-long riverside boulevard is an important landmark for the harmony between humanity and nature in Rokku.
Whenever the night falls, the sound of rustling rain lightly knocking on the window pane, the distant mountains surrounded by starry lights halfway up the mountainside, accompanied by the sound of rain to sleep, a night of fragrant budding.
Nujiang's environment is pleasant, belonging to the subtropical mountain forest climate. The altitude is between 800-3000, with a high content of negative oxygen ions. My teaching school is at an altitude of 826 meters. In the current season, the daytime sunshine is sufficient and the temperature is high, with a temperature of about 28 degrees; the night is cool and comfortable, with a temperature of about 21 degrees.
Early in the morning, one is always awakened by the sound of birdsong outside the window. The exuberant rains and strong sunshine give endless strength to the trees and plants here, as well as space and time for the birds to fly happily.
I would be the first to poke my head out of the window, trying hard to breathe in the breath of fresh nature, while the mountains in front of me, the clouds spread out, white, as beautiful as jade.
Stepping on the fresh and natural wind, breathing fresh air, every morning, I am full of happy heart walking on the campus path. The clear and natural light music inside the headset massaged my heartbeat, and the quietness of the surroundings and the distant scenery made me reluctant to leave.
When the sun slowly smiles through the clouds and gently pushes away the thin clouds, it's time for me to collect myself and get ready for work.
In the evening, it must be time to go for a walk along the river to experience the unique cultural atmosphere of the ethnic minority areas.
A Nu River divides Liuku into two sections, Jiangdong and Jiangxi, so there are several steel cable suspension bridges connecting the two sides. The Lisu dance by the Xiangyang Bridge and the free singing of the folk groups still retain the characteristics of their people. Regardless of age and gender, when the music plays, they will unanimously hold hands, kicking and dancing.
Nujiang, this multi-ethnic settlement, Han only accounted for eight percent, minority groups have Lisu, Bai, Nu, Pumi, Dulong and other more than a dozen ethnic groups, their surnames are also very interesting. For example, students: Mi Xiaomin, Nu Xiaohong, Na Chunmei, Lauri ......
Nujiang's food structure is relatively simple, rice noodles, er silk, er block, pea flour, poi and other ethnic staples are still the mainstay of the streets and alleys. When I first arrived in Nujiang, I followed the guidance of the navigation system, and found the top-ranked "Peacock Daixiang" to taste the authentic Dai flavor.
It was lunchtime and the place was full. The short and large table, four corners of the small wooden stools, crowded, a large family, the table is placed on the name of the food. I went over and curiously asked for their names, a smiling old man mumbled a lot, although I could not understand, I still smiled at her.
I ordered tripe sausage, paha omelette, lemon fish, and rice noodles, which tasted exactly like Thai food.
The Dai are the main ethnic group in Thailand and Laos, accounting for 40% of the total population of Thailand, and the Dai are also the second largest ethnic group in Myanmar. The Dai have 1.26 million people in China***.
It's rare to see cyclists pedaling down the streets of Nujiang. The roads and buildings here are accompanied by the river, and the two sides of the towering mountains, flat and wide space is very little, the road is narrow and steep. When I first arrived here, I was stuck in a traffic jam on a steep slope, tilted 60 degrees in a narrow alleyway, I kept stepping on the gas to prevent slipping, so nervous that my hands were sweaty.
Walking here is also up or down steep slopes. At first, it causes sore calf muscles and discomfort in the lumbar spine, where I had surgery, but my frequent nighttime calf cramps disappeared thanks to the stretching motion on the uphill side.
Out of the school's gate, turn left and there is the Basho River in Pai Lu Dam. Throughout the year, clear and transparent mountain spring water sped past, clattering and washing the large and small pebbles at the bottom of the river, splashing a white splash, while the bank is a small market.
When the rains are plentiful, every day there are mountain people setting up bags of freshly picked mushrooms for sale by the roadside, as well as Lisu grandmothers holding hot corn poop in baskets. The vegetables and fruits are all grown naturally without pesticides, and there are tiny wormholes in the top of the green leaves.
Because there is no large flat ground, there are not many varieties of crops here. The corn, potatoes, sweet potatoes and other staple foods are the most delicious. And the original flavor of the soybean products here is also known far and wide. You can imagine a piece of steaming hot water tofu, sprinkled with chopped local cilantro and scallions, tossed with sesame oil, soy sauce, and vinegar, green and white, and colorful.
On weekends, a few colleagues from Zhuhai will go on a trip together. At the end of the day, taste the local specialties. For example, the Lisu "rainbow rice":
Hand-held rice and concentric wine is the highest rite of hospitality for the Lisu people. Hand-held rice with rice and cabbage sand, or beans and rice, buckwheat rice mixed together boiled (steamed), served on a dustpan, covered with roasted suckling pig, chicken, eggs, bacon, bamboo leaves, mushrooms, fungi, fungus, peanuts, cold wild vegetables, taro, watermelon, and a variety of meat and vegetables.
Of course, the Nujiang River's unique topography and geomorphology and the characteristics of multi-ethnic settlement, so that some places here from the primitive society straight into the modern society of the bouncing evolution, so all aspects of the thousands and thousands of things, a long way to go.
Zhuhai's support for Nujiang is an all-encompassing endeavor. Enterprises, medical, education, government departments have their own personnel to form a poverty alleviation task force, and a large number of poverty alleviation special funds to follow up.
