Title: Andreas Mouet Photography

Date: September 12-October 21

Venue: September 12-October 21, 2011 Strong>Venue: Red Brick Museum of Art

Exhibition Introduction

White Cliffs "New Romance" Series 2014

Under the Tree "Angela Merkel Under the Tree" Angela Merkel Series 2008

This is the first solo exhibition in China by German photographic artist Andreas

Mühe, which will focus on more than 70 classic works created by the artist over the past 15 years, including some of his new works created in 2018.

As a German contemporary photographic artist, Mühe is difficult to categorize. His photographs are characterized by dramatic aesthetics, the use of large-format film cameras, and an expertise in "sculpting with light," creating a seemingly familiar scene with light and shadow settings.

Through scenes and light settings, he creates a seemingly familiar but contradictory visual world that is on the verge of disintegration and deconstruction, and through simple but subtle hints, he taps into the unseen reality that is hidden in the visible.

Yan Shijie, the curator of this exhibition, believes that "Mouet's photography accurately reproduces 'Germanity' and expands and constructs the vast historical dimension of Germany through his works."

Title: Tim Eitel Solo Exhibition

Time: September 29-November 10

Venue: Pace China, No. 2 Jiuxianqiao Road, Chaoyang District, Beijing

Exhibition Overview

Eitel, as one of the most important stalwarts of German contemporary painting, is known for his contemporary urban portraits as well as his landscape art, which presents a succinct feast of abstract art to the audience.

Tim Eitel's paintings are mainly figurative in style, rejecting noisy and forceful artistic representations. The seemingly quiet scenes imply uneasiness, as if they have a strong implication, and the works are covered with an illusory atmosphere, emphasizing the sense of hopelessness and aimlessness of the broken, lonely, and abstract people, as well as their bewildered substance.

This is arguably the most obvious characteristic of his paintings expressed by Tim Eitel.

Eitel's work was featured in the opening exhibition Encounters at Pace Beijing's Space in 2008.

Ten years later, the artist returns with more than a dozen of his most recent oil paintings, which take the viewer on a more complete journey away from reality and into the silent and intriguing spiritual space and time of the "Eitelesque".

Beijing is originally a city of rich history and culture, with the development of the times here is also more and more rich in culture, if you come to Beijing, you can not miss the opportunity to feel the Beijing culture, will let you feel the grandeur of Beijing, a long time and a long time, to feel the depth and depth of Chinese culture and long history!
