The so-called "cold chain" mainly refers to a variety of raw and fresh food in the production, transportation, sales, storage of the whole process, the temperature will be controlled in the range of 0 ℃ -4 ℃, to maximize the maintenance of food freshness and taste. "Cold chain" is a general term for this process and the equipment to realize it. The concept of "cold chain" was first introduced in the food industry, but is now used in more fields, such as medicine, aerospace and so on.
Pharmaceutical cold chain:
1. Pharmaceutical cold chain refers to the special supply chain management system in which temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals, such as refrigerated pharmaceuticals, are stored and circulated from the finished product warehouse of the manufacturer to the entire storage and circulation process prior to their use, which must be in a specified temperature environment (temperature control system) to ensure the quality of the pharmaceuticals.
2. The cold chain of pharmaceuticals involves four links: low-temperature production, low-temperature transportation and distribution, low-temperature storage, and low-temperature sales of cold-chain pharmaceuticals. Cold chain medicines have begun to enter the cold chain process after they are produced in the pharmaceutical factory, and are transported to the sales terminal through the storage node, distribution channel, and finally sold to consumers.
3. As a systematic project, the cold chain of pharmaceuticals has become a long-term and important infrastructure facility for enterprises and institutions of various terminals of pharmaceutical production, wholesale, retail and consumption.
Food Cold Chain:
1. Food Cold Chain refers to the perishable food products from the origin of the acquisition or fishing after the product processing, storage, transportation, distribution and retailing, until the hands of the consumer, its various links are always in the product necessary low-temperature environment, in order to ensure the quality and safety of food, to reduce the loss of pollution to prevent the contamination of the special supply chain system.
2. At present, the scope of food products to which the cold chain applies includes:
Primary agricultural products: vegetables, fruits; meat, poultry, eggs; aquatic products; floral products.
Processed food: frozen food; poultry, meat, aquatic products and other packaged cooked food; ice cream and dairy products; fast food ingredients.
3. Food cold chain is a logistics phenomenon based on freezing process science and refrigeration technology as a means under low temperature. Therefore, the construction of cold chain requires that the various issues involved in production, transportation, sales, economy and technicality be considered centrally and the relationship between each other be coordinated to ensure the safety of perishable food in the process of processing, transportation and sales, and it is a low-temperature system project with high-tech content.
