Difference between temperature sensor and temperature transmitter

Different measurement principles, different application scenarios and different accuracy.

1, the measuring principle is different. Temperature sensor is a kind of equipment that directly converts temperature into electrical signal for output. It uses the principles of thermistor, thermocouple and semiconductor to measure the temperature, and directly converts the measured temperature into an electrical signal for output. Temperature transmitter is a kind of equipment that converts temperature signal into standard electrical signal, measures temperature by using the principles of resistor, thermocouple and thermistor, and converts the measured temperature signal into standard signal for output.

2. The application scenarios are different. Temperature sensors are often used in places that need to directly measure temperature and output electrical signals, such as electronic thermometers and medical equipment. The temperature transmitter is used in situations where the temperature signal needs to be converted into a standard signal for output, such as an industrial automation system, and the temperature signal needs to be transmitted to a remote control room or a data recorder.

3, the accuracy is different. The temperature sensor needs to choose the appropriate accuracy level according to different measurement principles and application scenarios. Therefore, although both temperature transmitter and temperature sensor are devices for measuring temperature, their principles, application scenarios and accuracy are different. The temperature transmitter has higher accuracy and stability, and can convert and output temperature signals more accurately.
