Some people may say that the filter's filtration precision is not the higher the mesh number the better? In fact, it is not. In practice, it needs to be determined according to the needs of the site. For example, in the vacuum process, some consistency of higher media if the filter with too high precision, there may be due to filter clogging and affect the airflow, and finally affect the vacuum effect.
Filtration precision is not a constant value. If 100μm filter can filter 100μm below the impurity, then the impurity can only be regular spherical or elongated which may pass, and parallel direction of the media is difficult to pass.
In addition, when the filter runs for a period of time, the surface of the filter will form a cake. For example, 100μm filter even 50μm impurities can not pass, it means that the filtration accuracy, pressure drop increased, the circulation capacity decreased.
Filtering characteristics of precision filters
1. Precision filters feature highly efficient removal of water, oil and solid particles, and can completely remove impurities above 0.0.1μm. The concentration of particles and oil is controlled at 0.01ppm/wt. For liquid-solid filtration, the minimum particles can be filtered at about 0.45um, for gas-solid filtration, the minimum particles can be filtered at about 0.3um, and the filtration rate can be 99.9%, and the filtration pressure difference is low.
