Check whether the test equipment is placed in the voltage range required for the test and whether the set leakage current value meets the requirements.
Short-circuit the high-voltage output terminal of the test equipment, and check whether the overcurrent relay operates or sends out a fault signal.
Turn all switches of the tested electrical appliance ON.
Connect the test clips of the test equipment to the specified test parts respectively.
Operate the test equipment to increase the pressure. At the beginning, the booster slowly rises to half of the specified value to avoid jumping, and then quickly rises to the specified voltage value (the whole booster process is about 10s). Timing lasts 1 min, during which continuous flashover and breakdown are not allowed.
After 1min, if there is no continuous flashover breakdown, the voltage will slowly return to zero, the power supply will be cut off, and the test is completed. The method of sudden power failure is not suitable, because instantaneous voltage loss will cause oscillation overvoltage and may breakdown the sample.
