Hastelloy C-276 Hastelloy, nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy, high temperature and corrosion resistance.
Overview of Hastelloy C-276 Characteristics and Applications:
The alloy has excellent corrosion resistance to most corrosive media in both oxidized and reduced states. Excellent resistance to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. The alloy is suitable for a variety of chemical process industries containing oxidizing and reducing media. The high molybdenum and chromium content makes the alloy resistant to chloride ions, and the tungsten element further improves its corrosion resistance. Hastelloy?C-276 is one of only a few materials that are resistant to corrosion by moist chlorine, hypochlorite, and chlorine dioxide solutions, and the alloy has significant corrosion resistance to high concentrations of chlorinated salts (e.g., ferric chloride and copper chloride).

Hastelloy C-276?Metallurgical structure:
The alloy is a face-centered cubic lattice structure.
Hastelloy C-276 process performance and requirements:
1, the lower the sulfur content of the fuel for thermal processing, the better, the sulfur content of natural gas should be less than 0.1%, the sulfur content of heavy oil should be less than 0.5%.
2, the alloy's hot working temperature range of 1200 ℃ ~ 950 ℃, the cooling method for water-cooled or fast air-cooled.
3, suitable for welding by any conventional welding process, such as tungsten electrode inert gas shielded welding, plasma arc welding, manual subarc welding, metal pole inert gas shielded welding, fusion pole inert gas shielded welding.

Hastelloy B-2 (UNS N10665), nickel-molybdenum alloy
Hastelloy B-2 characteristics and applications overview:
Nickel-molybdenum alloy Hastelloy B-2 carbon, silicon content is very low, reducing the precipitation of carbon and other impurity phases of the weld heat-affected zone, and therefore its weld also has sufficient resistance to corrosion. Hastelloy B-2 has excellent corrosion resistance in reducing media such as hydrochloric acid solutions at various temperatures and concentrations. Hastelloy B-2 has good corrosion resistance in reducing media such as hydrochloric acid solutions at various temperatures and concentrations. It also has good corrosion resistance in sulfuric acid solutions at moderate concentrations (or with some amount of chloride ions). They can also be used in acetic and phosphoric acid environments. Alloy materials have the best corrosion resistance only when they are in a suitable metallurgical state and have a pure crystal structure. It has a wide range of applications in the chemical, petrochemical, energy manufacturing and pollution control fields, especially in the sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, phosphoric acid and acetic acid industries.
Hastelloy B-2 similar grades:
NS322 (China), NiMo28 (France), W.Nr.2.4617 (Germany), 00Ni70Mo28, N10665
Hastelloy B-2 metallurgical organization:
Hastelloy B-2 Hastelloy B-2 has a face-centered cubic lattice structure. By controlling the iron and chromium content at the minimum value, it reduces the machining brittleness and prevents the precipitation of Ni4Mo phase between 700-870°C.
Hastelloy B-2 metallographic structure is a face-centered cubic lattice structure.
Hastelloy B-2 process performance and requirements:
1, should be heated as quickly as possible to the required temperature. Thermal processing temperature range 1160 ℃ ~ 900 ℃.
2, the average size of the alloy's grain size is closely related to the degree of deformation of the forging, the final forging temperature.
3, the alloy surface oxides, oxide color and welding slag around the weld adhesion than stainless steel, recommended to use a fine grain abrasive belt or fine grain grinding wheel for grinding.
4, the alloy should be machined after annealing, due to the high rate of work hardening of the material, it is advisable to use a lower cutting speed than the machining of low alloy standard austenitic stainless steel and heavy feed knife for machining, in order to cut below the surface layer of cold work hardening.
