Electronic tomography technology

Electrical tomography (ET) is a tomography technique. By applying electrical excitation to the measured object, the change of its boundary value is detected, and the distribution of the internal electrical characteristic parameters of the measured object is deduced by using specific mathematical means, so as to obtain the internal distribution of the object. Compared with other tomography technologies, electrochromatography technology has the advantages of no radiation, fast response and low price.

There are four basic forms of electrical tomography, namely electrical capacitance tomography (ECT), electrical resistance tomography (ERT), electromagnetic tomography (EMT) and electrical impedance tomography (EIT). Because electrical impedance tomography technology and electrical impedance tomography technology are similar, they are generally not strictly distinguished.

Among them, ECT and ERT are very similar in mathematical model, positive and negative problem solving and data acquisition. Therefore, some researchers at home and abroad are trying to combine these two technologies. In Europe, UMIST cooperates with research institutions such as the University of Leeds to conduct exploratory research in this field. Through technology transfer, a company was established to produce ECT and ERT dual-mode tomography systems. However, the degree of integration of the two modes is limited by the lack of palace painting. ECT and ERT sensors are located in different sections, so it is difficult to reflect the material distribution in the same section.

At home, with the support of the National Natural Science Foundation, Tianjin University, Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, Chinese Academy of Sciences and other research institutions have also studied the dual-mode tomography technology. Among them, Tianjin University, as the project leader, has many years of experience in electrochromatography and successfully developed single-mode ect, ERT/EIT and EMT systems. At present, the prototype of ECT/ERT dual-mode system and its supporting software have been trial-produced and reached the international advanced level.
