Medical plastics industry with its high value-added, high growth rate and has a broad market potential and attention, through the use of new plastic materials, can make medical devices safer and more environmentally friendly. Over the past 15 years, the average annual growth rate of the international medical plastics market has been as high as 1,518%, which is among the highest in the annual growth rate of various medical device product markets.
PVC as a medical material, not only need to meet the material science requirements, but also need to meet the biological requirements:
(1) the plasticizer, stabilizer and other additives used are non-toxic, and not easy to leach out of the PVC material;
(2) good biocompatibility, does not cause teratogenicity and carcinogenicity, does not cause allergic reactions;
(3) good blood compatibility, low hemolysis, good anticoagulant properties.
