Wuhan Second Combined Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Hospital (672 Hospital) was founded in 1975, formerly known as the Wuhan Sea School Center Outpatient Department in the early 50's. In 1975, it was changed to No. 672 Hospital of Naval Forces 817, subordinate to the Seventh Research Institute of China Shipbuilding Heavy Industry Corporation (CSIC), which is a second-class excellent combined traditional Chinese and Western medicines hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research and preventive health care, and was approved by the Editorial Committee of Wuhan City to be listed as the Second Combined Chinese and Western medicines Hospital. In 1997, it was approved by Wuhan Municipal Editorial Committee to be listed as Wuhan Second Hospital of Combined Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine. It is now the clinical teaching hospital of Hubei University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the designated hospital for Wuhan urban workers' medical insurance, and the designated hospital for the New Agricultural Cooperative.
The hospital building has a total construction area of 24,000 square meters, with 15 clinical departments including orthopedics and traumatology, internal medicine, surgery, gynecology, ophthalmology, acupuncture and rehabilitation, oncology, emergency medicine, otorhinolaryngology, stomatology, dermatology, diabetology, physical examination and anesthesiology. It also has 15 clinical departments, including Pharmacy, Laboratory, Imaging, Functional Examination, Pathology, Sterilization and Supply Room, and other clinical auxiliary departments. Approved to open 400 beds (actually opened 350), set up 10 clinical wards, the new 8 hospital purification operating room, can ensure that every day to carry out 20 - 30 operations. Newly introduced 1.5T superconducting nuclear magnetic **** vibration equipment, spiral CT machine, digital X-ray inspection system, large-scale automatic biochemical analyzer, high-grade color ultrasound, high-grade respiratory and anesthesia monitoring equipment, ultramammography, posterior segmental microscope, fundus laser, retinography and other ophthalmic diagnostic and therapeutic equipment, constructed a set of HIS, LIS, PACS, electronic medical records as the main content of the information system.
The hospital has 406 employees, 338 health technicians, including 15 with high titles, 26 with associate titles, 2 with doctoral degrees, 43 with master's degrees, and 12 provincial and municipal doctors, such as Liang Keyu (an expert enjoying the State Council subsidy), Zou Ji, Luo Huiping and other famous doctors, have been employed to guide the professional and technical work for a long time. In 1994, it signed a two-way agreement with Hubei College of Traditional Chinese Medicine to become the designated teaching hospital for orthopedics, acupuncture and moxibustion; in 1997, it was approved by the Wuhan Municipal Government Preparation Committee and Wuhan Municipal Bureau of Health to be named as "Wuhan Second Combined Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Hospital". In the same year, the hospital passed the evaluation of Hubei Province Grade IIA Combined Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Hospital and started the medical service to the outside world; in 2001, it was honored by Wuhan Municipal Health Bureau as "Advanced Unit of Comprehensive Target Management"; in 2002, it was approved by Wuhan Municipal Government to become Wuhan Municipal Social Medical Insurance Designated Hospital; in 2003, it was honored by Hubei Statistical Society as "Quality, Honesty, Service". In 2003, the hospital was honored as a unit of "three excellence in quality, integrity and service satisfaction rate" by Hubei Statistical Society; in 2009, Orthopaedics and Traumatology was listed as a key specialty construction unit of "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" by Hubei Provincial Department of Health, and the assessment and acceptance was completed in 2012.
