What is the nature of the Rescue Squad organization?

The China International Rescue Team, abbreviated as CISAR (hereinafter referred to as the Rescue Team), was established on April 27, 2001, and the then Vice Premier of the State Council personally awarded the flag.

The main task of CISAR is to carry out emergency search and rescue of people who have been buried under pressure due to the collapse of buildings (structures) caused by earthquake disasters or other sudden events. The National Earthquake Disaster Emergency Rescue Team consists of personnel from the China Earthquake Administration, an engineering unit of the People's Liberation Army (PLA), and the Armed Police General Hospital, and currently ***counts about 230 people, a team with multiple leaders, participation from multiple sectors, and personnel from different industries ****existing.

Rescue deeds:

In March 2019, China's rescue team went to Mozambique at the request of the Mozambican government and approved by the Party Central Committee and the State Council to carry out international rescue work in the flood disaster caused by a thermal cyclone, which was highly evaluated by the United Nations and also by the Mozambican government.

According to statistics, the Chinese rescue team*** treated 3,337 people, cleaned and disinfected 330,800 square meters, and distributed much-needed food, medicines and drinking water for thousands of local victims. After the end of the rescue mission, the Chinese rescue team donated medical equipment, rescue equipment and other supplies to the Ministry of Health of Mo and the relevant government departments of the city of Beira.
