Are we overreacting to Influenza A?
Most countries, except China, don't take it seriously anymore. I think China is overreacting a little bit, because the mortality rate of influenza A is even lower than that of seasonal influenza, and it's not necessary for China to take it so seriously. Including the vaccine, the market is also too fast, certainly not through rigorous clinical trials, for a non-lethal infectious disease there is absolutely no need to do so. China's limited medical resources should be utilized more where they are needed. For example, some time ago, I read news that some uremic patients could not afford to go to regular hospitals for dialysis and had to use homemade equipment to set up dialysis rooms. It would be nice if the funds and medical resources used to prevent Influenza A could be used a little bit to help them build a dialysis room.
