Hebei Medical University (Hebei Medical University), located in Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province, Hebei Province, is the key backbone of the university, the Ministry of Education, the National Health Commission, the People's Government of Hebei Province **** construction of colleges and universities, selected as a pilot college of excellence in physician Education and training program project pilot universities, clinical medicine master's degree graduate training mode reform pilot universities.
The school was first named Beiyang Medical Hall, is China's first modern government-run Western medical colleges and universities. 1912 January 19th, the Ministry of Education of the National Government issued the "General Education Provisional Measures General Order", 1913 (Republic of China two years) September Beiyang Medical School renamed Zhili public medical school, and began to recruit undergraduates. 1915 the school moved to Baoding.
In January 1946, the school resumed enrollment, and was renamed Hebei Medical College in April 1949.
In 1958, the school was moved from Baoding to Shijiazhuang.
In 1995, Hebei Medical College, Hebei College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Shijiazhuang Higher Medical College merged to form Hebei Medical University.
In 2013, Hebei College of Traditional Chinese Medicine was restored to its independent status.
