Development History
On August 1, 1958, the opening ceremony of the hospital was held.In 1987, it was renamed as the Second Affiliated Hospital of Hunan Medical University, and in 1992, it was evaluated as the national Grade 3A general hospital.In 2000, it was renamed as the Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University.2021, February 15, the Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University was awarded as the National Youth Civilization No. 2021 by the National Youth Civilization Organization. On February 15, 2021, the project of Outpatient and Emergency Medical and Technical Building of the Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University officially started.At noon on May 29, 2022, the main structure of the Outpatient and Emergency Medical and Technical Building of the Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University was successfully topped out.
On July 29, 2022, the National Health Commission issued a notice on the setting up of the National Medical Center for Mental Diseases, formally deciding to set up the National Medical Center for Mental Diseases with the main body of the Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University in Hunan Province.
