Why are there more convenient facilities at MTR stations?

Some of the thoughtful designs on the Metro include:

1. Self-service facilities such as self-service ticket machines and recharge machines set up in the stations to make it easy for passengers to buy tickets and recharge.

2. Escalators installed in the station to facilitate passengers to go up and down the floors quickly.

3. Directional signs and voice prompts installed in the station are convenient for passengers to understand the route, stops and precautions and other information.

4. Billboards, maps, and station information boards in the train cars are convenient for passengers to know the stations along the route and related information.

5. Seats and poles in the train for passengers to stand and sit down.

6. Emergency brakes and safety hammers are installed in the train for passengers to use in case of emergency.

In addition to the above thoughtful designs, the subway can also add the following convenient facilities:

1. Provide free WIFI services to facilitate passengers to access the Internet and use mobile devices.

2. Self-service restrooms for simple personal hygiene in metro stations.

3. Provide tea, mineral water and other drinks vending service, convenient for passengers to buy drinks in the subway station.

4. Provide charging piles and USB outlets to facilitate passengers to charge their mobile devices in the metro station.

5. Provide convenient service center and medical emergency station to provide more comprehensive services for passengers.

6. Provide self-service courier lockers and post office services to facilitate passengers to send and receive courier in the metro stations.

7. Provide travel information and travel service booking to facilitate passengers to learn about local travel information and services in the MTR stations.

The above are my personal suggestions, and I hope it can help to add convenient facilities in the metro.
