The five hospitals targeted for donation by BYD are tasked with the important task of fighting the epidemic. In the early stage of the epidemic alarm, Peking University Shenzhen Hospital immediately activated the emergency plan, restarted the fever outpatient clinic, formed a clinical treatment expert group to receive and treat patients with fever. The Third People's Hospital of Shenzhen, as the hospital where confirmed patients with pneumonia infected by the new coronavirus in Shenzhen are centrally admitted, has become the main battlefield of the epidemic prevention campaign in Shenzhen.
Previously, BYD had already donated RMB 10 million to Hubei Province through the BYD Charity Foundation to support the epidemic prevention work. After that, BYD's overseas branch actively coordinated with foreign resources and procured N95 masks and other medical supplies worth 1 million RMB to provide necessary help and support to healthcare workers, public ****transportation industry practitioners, volunteers and other people fighting at the front line of the fight against the epidemic. In addition, the second batch of protective materials donated by BYD, tens of thousands of sets of medical protective clothing has also completed the procurement and is waiting for delivery.
In addition to the donations, BYD also announced on Feb. 8 that it would begin designing and manufacturing protective material production equipment to aid in the production of masks and disinfectant solutions to meet the current demand for protective materials. Currently, BYD's masks and disinfectant have entered production and will be shipped on February 17th. It is expected that by the end of February, its production capacity of masks can reach 5 million per day, and the production capacity of disinfectant solution reaches 50,000 bottles per day.
