Digital restoration is more and more widely used in dental clinics, digital technology to improve the traditional restoration of the impression defects, colorimetric difficulties, precision problems, medical technology and patient communication and many other problems.
as follows:
Currently there are many commercially available dental CAD/CAM cutting and processing systems, most of which are used in the dental laboratory for the design and processing of restorations. Each system has realized historical innovation, take Cerec system as an example, Cerec Ⅰ developed in 1986 can only cut feldspathic porcelain for the production of simple inlays and veneers on the front teeth.
In 1994, the market Cerec Ⅱ can cut reinforced leucite glass ceramics to make all-porcelain base crowns and tooth surface form complete all-porcelain crowns; to 2000 based on the Microsoft Windows platform development of the Cerec Ⅲ system software will be cutting system and the image acquisition system separate, so that each of them work independently, design and processing of the scope of the expansion of the inlays, inlays, veneers, partial crowns and full crowns and so on.
We have designed and processed a wide range of all-ceramic restorations such as inlays, high inlays, veneers, partial crowns and full crowns.
In 2002 Cerec in Lab used the laser scanning system for dental data collection; in 2003 the Cerec 3D system developed a 3D design interface, successfully realizing the restoration of all-ceramic fixed bridges; in 2009 the new Cerec AC image acquisition equipment proposed the first blue-light scanning technology, which became a new breakthrough point for improving the data scanning system.
In 2010, the Cerec Biogeneric software, inEos Blue, a scanner with blue light technology, was introduced; in 2012, True Color Camera with blue light technology was introduced, which eliminates the need for powder spraying and provides detailed True Color Camera capture and precise guides, further optimizing the clinical CAD/CAM system.
In 2013, BluTech 4.2 utilized BluTech's new "Smile" design and Virtual Rack, and the new BluTech 4.3 software provides more choices for practitioners and patients by suggesting inverted areas during restoration design. The innovation of chairside digital technology brings a new fast and efficient restoration method, which greatly facilitates and enriches the clinician's treatment and becomes one of the main development directions in the future.
