Cable:
Definition 1: A wire made of one or more conductors insulated from each other and protected by an outer insulating layer, which carries electricity or information from one place to another.
Definition 2: usually by several or groups of wires (each group of at least two) twisted together into a rope-like cable, each group of wires insulated from each other, and often twisted around a center, the entire outside of the package with a highly insulating cover. Cables have the characteristics of being energized inside and insulated outside.
Classification
Cables are power cables, control cables, compensation cables, shielded cables, high-temperature cables, computer cables, signal cables, coaxial cables, fire-resistant cables, marine cables, mining cables, aluminum alloy cables and so on. They are all composed of single or multi-stranded wires and insulation, and are used to connect circuits, appliances and so on.
