Movie Synopsis:
Barney is a middle school student with a social disorder. Barney is a middle school student with a social handicap, and Boring is his new walking, communicating, digitally-connected device. Boring is Barney's "out-of-the-box best friend".
In the context of social media, A Rong's hilarious malfunction takes them on a kinetic journey in which the boy and the robot embrace the beauty and chaos of real friendship.
Recommendation:
Barney is the only one in school who doesn't have a robot buddy or friends. That's because everyone makes friends and comments on each other on the internet.
One chance encounter gets Wing (a robot buddy), who doesn't become a robot with a mind of his own because of a programming error, like the other robots, and how to be a friend instead of how to be a friend.
In the end, Ah Wing sacrificed himself to make other people's robots become good robots as well, and at the end of the day Barney made a lot of friends.
It's worth reflecting on the fact that there are so many temptations on the internet to show every aspect of our lives in order to make friends that we don't know how to make real friends anymore. So let's not make making friends programmed.
