No. White Castle is adapted from the novel of the same name written by Wang Chenggang, the chief physician of the Emergency and Critical Care Center of Beijing Anzhen Hospital, which is the first film to realistically restore the working and living conditions of doctors in the Emergency Department. White Castle is a medical drama directed by Yang Wenjun, Shi Luan and Xielu, scripted by Zhang Lei and starring Peng Guanying, Tu Songyan, Gai Yuexi, Gao Xin, Xiong Ziqi and Huang Xiaolei, with Chen Shu in a friendly role, and Shi Shi, Zhang Zhijian and Zhang Chenguang in special appearances.
