I'm a dental student and I'll tell you what I think.
I think the program is still good.
Biomedical Engineering (BME) is the study of biology, medicine, behavior, or health by combining physics, chemistry, mathematics, and computers with engineering principles.
But the program is very different, meaning that there are several areas of study in Biomedical, each of which learns something almost completely different. The direction of study is usually determined during the sophomore year.
It can be said that the several different directions of this major are like several completely different majors, although they are all related to medicine, but what they learn, the direction of research is very different. So it's not much of a reference.
