The Lhasa station has seven waiting platforms, all with pillarless canopies;*** there are 10 strands, including eight arrival and departure lines and two cargo lines. The station belongs to the through station type, the main station house is 340 meters long and 60 meters wide, with a total floor area of about 23,600 square meters, designed to handle up to 2,700 passengers per day. The interior of the main station is divided into three levels, one underground and two above ground. In terms of functionality, the emphasis is on human-centered design. The station has four waiting rooms, one of which is a soft sleeper waiting room with an escalator to shorten the time for passengers to enter and exit the station and to reduce their physical exertion. The infirmary provides oxygen supply facilities to take care of unwell passengers. The logistic service areas are located on the east and west sides of the main station building, providing mail processing, freight transportation, water and electricity supply and other services for the station. The heating facilities use the abundant local solar energy as raw material to minimize the damage to the environment. The first and second floor halls of Lhasa Station are equipped with east-west through corridors, and there is a ticket hall on the west side of the first floor hall. After the opening of the railroad, tickets for trains, airplanes and long-distance buses are centrally handled in the ticket hall. There are more than 10 service windows in the ticket hall, and the staff are nervously carrying out equipment installation and debugging. The west side of the wall of the ticket hall, is hanging a large fluorescent screen. According to reports, this fluorescent screen is mainly used to display the moment of entry and exit trains and fares and other information. Through the escalator, the reporter came to the station on the second floor hall. Northeast of the second floor hall with a large shopping mall, according to the original design, this will be set up fast food restaurants, cafes and small stores. The south side of the second-floor hall has a general waiting room, which also specializes in the establishment of mother and child waiting room, military waiting room, small soft seat waiting room and medical room. Lhasa Railway Station general waiting room area of 1760 square meters, soft seat waiting room area of 800 square meters, VIP waiting room area of less than 700 square meters. The design concept of the station reflects humanization to the maximum extent. If a traveler enters or leaves the station when plateau sickness or other sudden illnesses occur, the medical room will provide timely treatment for travelers.
