Introduction of Electrosurgical Workstation

Electrosurgical workstation, also called electrosurgical system, is a high-frequency current surgical system applied in surgical operating room.

It integrates many surgical high-frequency current surgical instruments, such as high-frequency electrocautery, large-vessel closure system, ultrasonic knife, argon knife, LEEP knife, endoscopic electrocautery knife, etc., and controls the cutting depth and coagulation speed during the surgical process by computer.

The emergence of electrosurgical workstations for surgeons to carry out clinical surgery has been a great help, but also for patients to reduce the risks associated with traditional surgery, and most of the equipment can be recycled, reducing the cost of surgery. In the 1990s, German medical device makers pioneered the concept of electrosurgical workstations to save the inconvenience of multiple scalpels.

At present, the more famous electrosurgical workstations are ES series produced by EMED of Germany, VIO series produced by ERBE of Germany, and ME series produced by Martin of Germany, etc. At present, the electrosurgical workstations have been gradually introduced into the market. At present, electrosurgical workstations have been gradually popularized in the country, almost all hospitals above the county level have begun to prepare for the equipment.

Currently, the equipment is developing in the direction of diversification, intelligence and humanization, and the top electrosurgical workstations are equipped with large touch screen, large-capacity surgical procedure storage system, and can be assembled with more high-frequency electrosurgical equipment.

Principle

Through the computer-adjusted high-frequency current, the energy will be applied to the head of the knife, to complete the cutting of human tissue and coagulation. Most of the power ranges from 100W-350W. Its electric knife and high-frequency electric knife, as well as unipolar and bipolar points. Through the physical pressure applied by the vascular closure instrument and the sintering of the low voltage current, it makes the collagen and fibrin of the blood vessel wall dissolve and denature and finally merge together to make the blood vessel close.

After the blood vessel is closed, the closure band can be disengaged directly, eliminating the need to cut and stop the hemorrhagic suture process of traditional vascular closure. The argon gas will be extracted from the argon gas bottle and then sprayed out through the cutter head, the argon gas is ionized by the high-frequency current after the increase in electrical conductivity, so that a large number of coagulation factors will be able to argon plasma as a medium to reach the surface of the trauma, so as to achieve a very good effect of large-area hemostasis.

Endoscopic electrocision

With the soft and hard endoscopes to implement part of the internal medicine surgery, through the computer automatically control the cutting and coagulation speed. Avoiding the traditional endoscopic cutting of cutting and then stopping the surgical method, it realizes the process of one-time cutting. It is able to be used for surgeries such as gastrointestinal polypectomy, upper gastrointestinal bleeding, and duodenal papillotomy.
