Central Hospital of Qianjiang City (Qianjiang City Central Hospital affiliated with Changjiang University) was founded in 1950, covers an area of more than 100 acres, with a construction area of nearly 103,000 square meters and fixed assets of 430 million yuan. It is a comprehensive hospital integrating four functions of medical treatment, scientific research, teaching and prevention. It is a tertiary hospital approved by the Provincial Department of Health, and a technical cooperation hospital of many provincial and ministerial hospitals such as the Affiliated People's Hospital of Wuhan University, a teaching hospital of the Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, the Medical College of Wuhan University, the Medical College of Wuhan University of Science and Technology and other tertiary institutions, and a fixed-point hospital of the medical insurance for urban workers and new type of rural cooperative medical treatment. It is the designated hospital for urban workers' medical insurance and new rural cooperative medical care, and also the only cadres' health care base hospital in the city.
