The college has nine departments of mechanical engineering, mechanical electronics, mechanical design, mechanical mechanics, vehicle engineering, agricultural equipment engineering, materials engineering, industrial design, engineering graphics and CAD, as well as a mechanical engineering teaching experiment center and an engineering training teaching center. Existing faculty and staff of 128 people, 66 full-time teachers, 12 senior professional and technical positions, deputy senior professional and technical positions of 32 people, master's degree tutors 29 people; Jiangsu Province, "333 Project and the Blue Project" training object 4 people, the province, the school cross-century academic leader 3 people, the school excellent young backbone teachers 6 people, enjoy the government's special allowances teachers; 1 person; enjoy the government's special allowances; teachers; and the mechanical engineering teaching laboratory center, engineering training teaching center. The college adheres to the teaching and research as the center, deepens the teaching reform, strengthens the construction of disciplines and curricula, and actively carries out scientific research, and successively undertakes the national "863" project, the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), the national scientific and technological research project, the "torch" project and the provincial and municipal scientific research projects. We have undertaken more than 40 national "863" projects, National Natural Science Foundation projects, national science and technology projects, "Torch" projects, provincial and municipal scientific research projects, and a number of scientific research achievements have been awarded by the provincial (ministry) and municipal awards; we have obtained more than 70 patents for inventions and utility patents; we have published more than 20 monographs and textbooks, of which 3 have been included in the national "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" planning class textbooks; and we have published more than 160 public papers in the year. The college now has specialized laboratories with an area of 7,000 square meters. The college now has a professional laboratory area of 7,000 square meters, the total value of instruments and equipment is more than 18 million yuan. In the process of long-term school running, the college adheres to people-oriented, actively promotes quality education, and vigorously improves students' innovative consciousness and practical ability. In recent years, more than twenty students' extracurricular scientific and technological works have participated in the National "Challenge Cup" Competition, Jiangsu Provincial Mechanical Innovation Design Competition, Jiangsu Provincial CNC Competition, Jiangsu Provincial Innovation Production Competition, and have achieved good results; the employment rate of the graduates has always been among the best in the school.
The college continuously strengthens international exchanges, has sent many teachers to the United States, Japan, Germany, Australia, Norway and other countries for further study, and with the University of Applied Sciences in Eislingen, Germany, the University of Fordwangen, University of Ulm, the United States of America, Kettering University and Tokyo Institute of Technology in Japan, etc. to establish a friendly relationship of cooperation, and to send each other students and teachers to each other's studies.
