Introduction of Anhui Institute of Optical Precision Machinery, Chinese Academy of Sciences

Anhui Institute of Optics and Precision Machinery of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (AIPM) was founded in December 1970, and is located in the western suburb of Hefei, Anhui Province, on the scenic science island of Shushan Lake. As of September 2014, there were 440 employees, including 2 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, 59 researchers, 104 vice-high, 134 intermediate technicians; there are 2 postdoctoral stations, 3 doctoral degree-granting points, 7 master's degree-granting points. It has trained more than 940 master's degree students and 520 doctoral degree students, and awarded 622 master's degrees and 238 doctoral degrees. There are more than 370 postgraduates, 8 postdoctoral fellows, and 27 guest itinerants.

Anhui Institute of Optical Mechanics in May 2001, entered the Chinese Academy of Sciences knowledge innovation project pilot ranks, is part of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Hefei Institute of Physical Sciences. It is a part of the Hefei Institute of Materials Science of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. It now consists of the Research Center of Atmospheric Optics, the Research Center of Environmental Optics, the Research Center of Applied Laser Technology and the Optical Engineering Technology Center. Anhui Institute of Optical Machinery adheres to the national and social development as the traction, in the laser atmospheric transmission and laser atmospheric detection, laser spectroscopy, environmental optics and environmental monitoring technology, remote sensing and radiation calibration and correction, new types of lasers and crystalline materials, medical optoelectronics and laser medical instrumentation, fiber optics and optoelectronics, optoelectronic engineering and other disciplines, to undertake the national key scientific and technological research, the national "863", the national "863", the national "863", the national "863" and the national "863". Anhui Institute of Optical Mechanics hosted edited and published "Journal of Quantum Electronics" and "Journal of Atmospheric and Environmental Optics" in the academic community at home and abroad have a certain academic influence.

Since its establishment, the Institute has made 448 scientific research achievements, won 170 awards at the national, academy of sciences, provincial and ministerial levels, and published 3,429 papers, including 667 papers in foreign academic journals, as well as 321 national patents.
